Family Night

Once a month, we have our Family Night, a night full of games (card games / board games), trash talk, love, and junk food. It is a fun way to get together as a family, instead of all doing our own stuff. It is not always easy with bouncy babies or toddlers, but I feel it is a positive experience for all.

Last Saturday, we played Killer Bunnies. Yes, I know. Normal families would play monopoly, but we end up with weird games like Killer Bunnies or Munchkins. I have been looking around for other family night games, so would be in for suggestions if anyone has good ones. It has to work for the range from toddler to teenager. We have gone through quite a lot of games over the years, but would welcome more suggestions.

May your family be full of love as ours. Happy Love Thursday!

Great picture. It makes me jealous, but in a good way I guess. I wish I could be there enjoying that kind of family time-- and I wish I had more kids.

But, also, you are very lucky I don't know where you live, because I have a little blonde that would fit right in and I figure I could drop him off and it might take a few hours for you to realize you had an extra! Sneak attack babysitting!

Your family is old enough to enjoy Jr. Pictionary... it's one of our family favorites! Sylvia can be in charge of the 'timer' (watching the sand timer and announcing when time is up!).

Also - guesstures (charades).

That's an awesome idea! Jacob and I have a weekly "date", but don't do games as much as we'd like. I may have to steal your idea. ;-)

As for games, I highly recommend ANYTHING by Cranium. They're fantastic fun!

I think it's so smart to do this. We really need to make the effort to do it more often.

You have me interested in Killer Bunnies now. We sometimes play bingo or have the electronic UNO and handsdown going at the same time and switch around. Team scrabble?

this is a great idea! We have family night every monday but it's not always games and fun time. I need to make sure we do that too!
