More Celebration Pictures

Find the sisters.

They were on their way to a wagon ride around The Green.

Before the fireworks.

We had a picnic with a variety of foods. Some healthy, some not so healthy.

Dreamer

Soon to be a teenager.

I love these pictures of Jane. They have a dream-like quality. She was deep in thought, dreaming up many wonderful things.

She and Dawn are doing a theater camp this summer. They are having a great time, and Jane is growing so much as a performing artist.

Happy Independence Day!

Two years ago Cees, Tim and me became Americans.

This year we managed to watch fireworks two nights in a row and we spent much time with friends.

I look back on the last two years and realize there is tons of things I got accomplished. At least if you look at the big picture, even if the small details still show chaos. I feel very blessed to be surrounded by good friends who have supported me through interesting times.

Hope y'all's Independence Day was as good as ours!

Squirrel Dude

This squirrel has been around for ages, I wonder what her story is.

It looks like she met a predator but managed to escape, or who knows what else is wrong. She seems healthy enough apart from looking really scraggly.

Of course, she gets fed well by stealing the bird's sunflower seeds.

Beware of Bears

We had a few visiting 3yo's and one of them came in, quite excited. 'There is a bear in the car! There is a bear in the car! He jumped in the car!'

'Hmmmm, I see.'
3yo 'He jumped in the car and then he died!'

Now I am trying to figure out whether having a dead bear in the car is better or worse than having an alive bear in there.
