that reminds me of my (once clean) yellow bedcover...
Looks like your carpet is ready to be replaced anyway. We finally tore up most of ours and replaced it with glossy hardwood that cleans up easy. I also stock only washable markers and toss out any that are permanent.
Happy clean-up!
This is a familiar sight at our house.
