How the heck did this happen? Last week, he was a newborn baby. Yesterday, he learned how to bike. Today, he would be able to drive a car if I would let him.
He has grown into a charming young man, who is very happy that he finally is taller than his mother. He is very able, and very caring. I can see that he must have good parents (falls of her chair, laughing).
He enjoys his McDonalds job as much as anyone would enjoy a McDonalds job. (How is that for a diplomatic way of describing it?)
He starts reading when he gets up in the morning. Reads the whole day during whatever he is doing, and falls asleep with a book in his hands.
His other passion is video games. Half of his presents today were video game related, the other half were books.
I took him out to lunch in an Irish pub to celebrate his birthday. Just the two of us. It was nice to be able to talk to him without any little ones interrupting, and without him holding a book in his hand ^^
Next year, he could enroll in the US army. Two years from now, he will be able to vote. Five years from now, he can have a beer. But today, he would be able to drive a car (runs away, screaming!)
Happy birthday, Cees!
