Oscar went into surgery at 5am this morning, when they performed a catheterization via his groin, to get rid of a blood clot (blood clots?) in the stem of his brain. He is in recovery now and more will be known when he wakes up. The prognosis seems to be cautiously optimistic, but we are waiting for him to wake up and I hope we'll have a better idea of how he is and how successful the surgery was.
Please keep sending good thoughts to him.

Glad to see this update! When my blogroll told me you had updated I didn't know if it would be good or bad. Glad to hear it's a step in the positive direction!
yeah, i wasn't sure what to put in the subject. On the one hand it is positive, on the other hand we are still waiting and seeing and i don't feel confident about a good outcome yet.
So i ended up with just 'update'.
