Sparrows

Some kind of European sparrow I think, but I did not actually get out my bird book to confirm.

I was just thrilled to get a few reasonable pictures of them when they were trespassing in the No Trespassing zone.

This was at the dark, satanic mills.

But that story is a post for another day.

Oh wow, those photos are incredible! I never get sparrows that sharp! What kind of camera do you have?

This is a Nikon D40x, using a telelens 55 - 200

My 'all purpose' 18 - 50 lens got destroyed in an unfortunate accident starring Erik and Giant and I still haven't been able to spring the money to replace it yet. The good part is that that means I always have the telelens handy since it's the only lens I have now ^^

That day I think we got lucky with very bold sparrows and nice bright light. Maybe they felt safe with the No Trespassing sign in the bushes ^^

I usually don't get them so well either, so I was thrilled when I saw the results.
