Random Pictures and Random Radon
Today finally was back to a few hours of spring like weather (ignoring the snow flurries in the morning, I am) so we went out geocaching.
Found exactly ONE cache, which isn't very impressive, but hey, it got us outdoors, which was nice.
I got a lot of bird pictures, I wish I was sure what they were. For now I am assuming they are greckles, but feel free to correct me if I am wrong. I wasn't totally sure.
Remember that I finally sold my house? Well... the radon test came back too high (5.1 instead of 4 pCi/L) in the basement. We offered radon mitigation, but the buyers didn't accept and decided to not buy the house after all.
So the house is back on the market. And we are back to frequent showings and having to have the house perfect. Gah.
I am sure it will sell, I just want it to sell yesterday! Patience isn't my strongest virtue.
I love the reflection of the bridge in the water in this picture.
Tree Climbing
Sylvia has two big hobbies nowadays. One is riding her two wheeler bike. The other one is climbing trees.
Luckily we have some good climbing trees in our backyard, so she can climb to her heart's content.
When I was a kid, I always used to climb to the top of trees, so it's nice to see that my kids have inherited that trait ^^
Elusive Bobcat
I keep trying to get pictures of him/her, and it keeps evading me. Today it drank from our little pond and the moment I grabbed the camera it disappeared.
But this afternoon it walked pas again and I got a few pictures. Not super good ones, but it's the best I can do for now. Some day I'll post better ones!

Just Some Silly Pictures
Last week was gorgeous, so we spent many hours of local playgrounds. You know, where you can make cool pictures. Only I kept forgetting my camera.
Finally I did remember! I was so proud of myself, apart from the fact that I decided I could be even more productive by grocery shopping while they were playing since the grocery store was right there anyway. Which was cool, apart from the fact that they wanted to eat the food when I returned and then it was dark and so I only got pictures of kids running around in the almost dark instead of the awesome playground pictures I was going to get.
Oh well ^^
Geocaching!
Yesterday we spent a nice day geocaching. We started out by visiting a bunch of cute puppies.
And goats.
Followed by finding TWELVE geocaches in a variety of settings. No long hikes, which was nice because the weather forgot we were entering summer and reverted back to early spring/late winter. It even rained!
It was great to be outdoors though. Looking forward to summer!

Backyard Bobcat
First we always thought it was a normal house cat. Until one day I noticed that something was 'off' and that the tail looked weird and that it was a very skittish cat. Didn't take long to google and find out we had a juvenile bobcat visiting our neighborhood!
Very cool, very impressive, but wouldn't it be wonderful to have photographic evidence of it? Well, it would be, but this feline was not very impressed with the idea of having his soul captured in our black box, so we spend many months seeing the bobcat when we didn't have the camera, only to have him disappear if we did go get it.
Dawn finally was successful in capturing him/her using our telelens.
So cool!

Dreaming of a White March
Kids were thrilled, yesterday we had another snow day!
We celebrated by first looking at a new house, but they lost a bedroom somewhere along the way. It was listed as four bedrooms, but the house only turned out to have three, and the 'extra room' they claimed was quite non-existant too. I guess that is not going to be our new house.
In the afternoon we finally got to sled on the hill which had mostly been snowless all winter and it was cold, windy, snowy and perfect.
Tonight we are getting more snow! I guess they saved it all till March.
