Getting Ready for Halloween
Day before Halloween, pumpkin carving and face painting.
Too tired now to post Halloween pictures. All the kids are totally sugared up and hyper and did I mention tomorrow is a school day?
Hope y'all had a good Halloween!

Open House
Sylvia had an open house at her school and we had fun seeing all her teachers and class rooms.
They don't have black boards anymore, they have something way cooler now. Makes me miss the squeaky sound that chalk used to make on our blackboards :D

It Ain't Over Yet
Gah! This is the view from my kitchen this morning.
It would be bad enough to just have this much snow in October, but it's going to get worse!
... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Saturday evening
through Sunday morning...
* Hazard types... heavy wet snow.
* Accumulations... 6 or more inches of snow are possible.
Time to move to Arizona. Or Hawaii. If only I had sold this house!

Community Open Art Studio
After blogger eating my earlier post (three times!!), a quick post of open studio pictures. Kate worked on a table for her doll house, Jane made a hat for Halloween, Sylvia spent time drawing and painting and Erik worked with clay and enacted sword fights with his figurines.
WHAT??!!!! SNOW?!!! You Gotta Be Kidding!
October 27th: first snow of the season!
The kids are thrilled. I am not so much.
Did I mention all our winter clothes are in storage because we were going to sell this house before the winter for sure...

Corn Maze Fun
I love this corn maze, with all the pictures and 'people' and 'animals'.
The kids had a blast discovering them all. Well, that was when they weren't trying to scare each other.
We have had a bunch of RAIN days, but luckily today looks better. Nice and sunny which is perfect for Sylvia and Erik tennis lessons.
Have a nice weekend all!

Husband for a Day
After our talk about Bob, the amazing guy who fixes anything, we started talking about the 'Husband for a Day' service, we sometimes see around time. One of those handyman type of guys.
Kate remarked 'The first time I saw that, I thought it was a dating service.' Followed by a sister's 'Me too!'
Someone else spoke up and wondered 'Why would he have that van though?'
Jane 'Well, that is easy! To put in all the men of course!'
