Crocodile Tour!

We were very fortunate to go on a crocodile tour in Costa Rica, and it got even better when a bird swooped in to eat one of the baby crocodiles!

This is one of the many things I love about travelling. It is totally different to see this in real life than to watch it on television or read about it.

Spring has sprung!

After yet another WAY too long winter in New Hampshire, we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's not another train! There are daffodils, forsythia, tulips, and of course many birds!

There is an eagle nest behind our local home depot, so we have been watching them a lot, they have at least one, maybe two eaglets. I feel very lucky that we often get to observe them, they are just amazing.

Spring in New Hampshire
definitely is a happy time for me, I look forward to gardening and enjoy being able to be outdoors and move around without having to put on tons of clothing!

Eating a Churchill in Puntarenas!

A treat loaded with goodness and sweetness which is a trademark of Puntarenas.

When I first read about someone talking about Churchill in Puntarenas, I thought maybe it was a famous restaurant or something. But no, instead it was a cool treat, shaved ice, kola syrup (which is just a sweet syrup, has nothing to do with the soda), powdered milk, condensed milk and ice cream. I totally didn't even try to imagine how many calories, I just went for it and enjoyed!

If you ever find yourself in Puntarenas, go for it!

Our First Visit to Costa Rica

We visited Costa Rica for the first time and had a wonderful time, love the country and its nature and people.
We saw crocodiles, howler monkeys, variegated squirrels and of course many birds. Here is a first taste of our birding, including wild parrots!
